Barack Obama has been elected president of the United States, the first African-American in their history. People were feeling positive about this but we weren't sure, we all know about the intolerance of races, I can't even begin to imagine how these people feel or think now. I guess Obama will have to double his security and his family's too. But this is also the end of the Segretation, as we know it.
With victories in Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and other battleground states, Obama built a commanding lead over his Republican rival, John McCain.
Obama surged in the polls amid a national financial crisis, campaigning as the candidate of change. He and his fellow Democrats sought to link McCain to the unpopular George W. Bush.
The son of a black man from Kenya and a white woman from Kansas, Obama soared into the national spotlight after his electrifying speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, when he was making his first run for the Senate.
Emphasizing his early opposition to the Iraq war, he defeated Hillary Rodham Clinton after a long, bruising primary fight. He then beat back Republican efforts to portray him as reckless, naive and inexperienced. He also had to combat Internet misinformation questioning his religion and patriotism.
Now, now, how will Obama defeat the financial crisis, the war in Irak and Afghanistan, the price of Oil, the protests against the Environment, and so many other problems he will have to face on this delicate times. Our eyes are set on him now, as the decissions taken by him will certainly affect other countries in the world. It is proved as the financial crisis started on the mortgage business and didn't stop until it affected the whole world, Asia is on recession, Europe is on recession, Wall Street collapsed, what to do, what to do???? is the real question here !!! We surely need an urgent answer.

Would Obama be the first black US President????
Democrat Barack Obama easily beat rival Hillary Clinton in Mississippi on Tuesday, giving him new momentum in their heated presidential fight as they head to the next showdown in Pennsylvania in six weeks.
Obama, who would be the first black U.S. president, rode a wave of heavy black support to victory and extended his lead over Clinton in pledged delegates to the August nominating convention. The Illinois senator also won on Saturday in Wyoming.
Clinton revived her hopes in the Democratic race last week by beating Obama in primaries in Ohio and Texas, prolonging their bitter Democratic fight for the right to face Republican John McCain in November's presidential election.
"What we have tried to do is steadily make sure that in each state we are making the case about the need for change in this country, and obviously the people of Mississippi responded," Obama said in an interview on CNN.
I personally think that none of the candidates is showing a real alternative for the USA, what they really need is an urgent change, a Democratic Revolution with new generation leaders. which one of the candidates will stop sending kids to die in Irak? And what will the Latinos vote be? With all the racisms in the USA what will the reaction be if Obama is elected as the President? And what will the old ugly Republicans do with Hillary Clinton if she gets elected? They will crush her, for sure. I fear for the future of the United States, so fragile !!! after all the things happening there affect our countries too..... comment pls
